Literary Sunday at Ampthill Library
08-12-24
I was delighted to be invited to this ‘Literary Sunday’ event at Ampthill Library, organised by AmpLiterary in partnership with Central Bedfordshire Libraries. Such a well-organised event with delicious pastries and refreshments and a super audience. Katie Packman did a great job at interviewing me - we could have chatted for hours! I just wish I could remember what we were laughing about in that middle picture!
Waterstones Bluewater : Crime at Christmas
05-12-24
This Crime at Christmas event at Waterstones Bluewater was so much fun. Authors Fiona Cummins, Holly Seddon, Laura Marshall, Jessica Bull and I were put through our paces by Kit Conway, and we were all blown away by the fabulous audience who asked loads of great questions and bought so many of our books afterwards! It was the first author event that Waterstones Bluewater had ever organised, and they did a fantastic job!
The Rumour is coming to Channel 5!!!!!
It really is every writer’s dream to have one of their books brought to the screen, so I’m absolutely THRILLED to share the amazing news that THE RUMOUR will be coming to Channel 5 in 2025 as a five-part series! I still can’t quite believe this is actually happening. Look at my excited face in this photo! On my left is Dixie Linder, one of the producers from Cuba Pictures and on the right is my agent, Amanda Preston. And yes, we were on location! Do read the full article on the banner at the top of this website for all the exciting details!
Folk East Festival : Book Tent Panel
18-08-24
The Folk East Festival at the Glemham Hall Estate in Suffolk is always a treat, although sadly, this was the last time it will be held in this particular location. The lovely Abbie Clements from Halesworth Books had her usual bookshop tent and ran author events throughout the weekend. I was invited to take part in a panel on the Sunday afternoon with Phoebe Morgan and J.M. Hewitt. The panel was chaired by local author, Lin Le Versha.
Swanwick Writers’ Summer School
11-08-24
What a beautiful setting for a writers’ summer school! I was invited to deliver a workshop on How to Write a Psychological Thriller on the Sunday afternoon - well, I guess I should know how to do it by now! - and a few hours later, I was up on stage being interviewed about my books and my writing journey. It was lovely to see so many people at both events.
Lowdham Book Festival : Killer Women
23-06-24
Thanks to Penny Hancock for this great photo. It was my first time at this wonderful festival organised by The BookCase in Lowdham. And thanks also to my fellow panelists (named above) and particularly Kate Rhodes for her expert chairing!
Tunbridge Wells Literary Festival : Local Crime Writers’ Panel
12-05-24
I was thrilled to take part in this year’s literary festival in my new home town of Tunbridge Wells. Stupidly, I forgot to take any photos of the amazing audience we had! It was a full house in the upstairs of The Amelia Library, which is such an inspiring and beautiful venue. The delightful Nicole Kennedy chaired a panel with authors Laura Marshall, Holly Seddon and myself and we enjoyed every minute!
Colchester Waterstones : Book Speed Dating
02-05-24
What a fabulous evening this was! A book speed dating event where readers, including Lauren North and I, shared our favourite reads and had some brilliant bookish chats, or in my case, bookish whispers as I’d lost my voice and could only croak! It was also, as you can see, the perfect opportunity to showcase our latest books. Thank you, Waterstones Colchester, for being the perfect hosts!
Publication Day for ‘The Other Tenant’
25-04-24
It’s here at last: publication day for the hardback of The Other Tenant. And just look at this super creepy video my publishers just sent me!
